Barcelona Superilla, co-authored with Massimiliano Scaglione and published by ListLab in co-edition with the City of Barcelona, is now available.

The “Superilla” is a radical project shaping the present and future of Barcelona, a city that has long been at the forefront of urban innovation. It is fundamentally reorganising urban mobility in an unprecedented way, placing people firmly above the needs of vehicles. This publication offers an interdisciplinary analysis of this remarkable initiative, exploring the urban, social and environmental dimensions of the transformation underway. Both the qualities and the potential shortcomings of the project are examined, with the aim of providing a practical reference for cities considering a similar shift — one that is as revolutionary as it is necessary in the face of today’s sustainability challenges.

The book brings together essays and interviews with professionals directly and indirectly involved in the implementation and analysis of the project, including Salvador Rueda and Josep Bohigas, and is enriched throughout by the photography of Stefano Ferrando.

The book is available in English, Spanish and Catalan.
